If your phone spends more time on the go, you’ll understand why durability and battery life matter just as much as camera specs. That’s where HONOR X9e Pro intrigued me. Designed for demanding days, this smartphone combines all-round durability, a huge 11,000mAh battery and a 108MP OIS camera, while keeping its body approximately 8.08mm thin and weighing about 203g.
Built to survive everyday drops
Let’s start with durability. It’s not uncommon to keep dropping the phone and if you’re a butterfinger then don’t even ask! HONOR X9e Pro is designed to withstand drops of up to 3 metres onto smooth marble and up to 1.2 metres onto selected complex surfaces at multiple angles. It has also received an SGS 5 Stars Gold Label certification for Drop Resistance in Harsh Scenarios. When we tested it, we found that there’s not even a single scratch on the phone even after dropping it and almost using it as a hammer.
And because real life involves more than accidental drops, the phone also comes with IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. HONOR’s laboratory testing included immersion at up to 10 metres, 100,000 water exposure cycles and 24 hours of continuous salt-spray testing.
Battery anxiety? Maybe not anymore.
Talking about battery life, HONOR X9e Pro comes with an enormous 11,000mAh HONOR Silicon-carbon Battery. Thankfully, even with that, HONOR has managed to keep the phone relatively slim.
It supports 80W HONOR SuperCharge and 27W wired reverse charging, so you can even use the phone to power another compatible device when you’re away from an outlet. There’s also AI Power Saving, which adjusts power management according to what you’re doing on your phone.
For busy professionals juggling work calls, navigation, social media, photography and entertainment, that extra endurance could make a real difference.
A 108MP camera for everyday moments
HONOR X9e Pro camera features a 108MP OIS main camera with an f/1.75 aperture and 1/1.67-inch sensor, supported by CIPA 6.0 stabilisation. There’s also a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 16MP front camera.
The camera system also includes cloud-assisted AI imaging for supported shooting scenarios and dedicated underwater colour tuning. So whether you’re capturing everyday moments, travelling or experimenting with underwater photography, there’s more here than just megapixels.
A big, bright and responsive display
The 6.8-inch HONOR FullView Display offers 1.5K resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 10,000 nits peak brightness in supported scenarios. It also supports wet-hand touch and glove touch, useful little details when you’re using your phone in less-than-perfect conditions!
HONOR X9e Pro: Why it works
HONOR X9e Pro definitely impresses on a specification sheet but its real appeal is about less worrying and getting more from your phone.
With its 11,000mAh battery, 108MP OIS camera, large 120Hz display and IP68/IP69/IP69K protection, it brings together features that make sense for people who use their smartphones as an essential part of everyday life.
Honor X9e Pro is available in 4 beautiful colours: Royal Purple [which we chose], Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold, Midnight Black. It comes with 3 storage options: 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.
